Matt's Kingdom belongs to me, Matt McLaughlin. I began painting military planes, vehicles and miniatures (mainly Tamiya, Monograph and Revell) in the late 1970's. When Dungeons & Dragons burst onto the scene, I became an avid player and began painting Ral Partha fantasy miniatures. Later in life I attended the University of Connecticut, where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. My career now involves graphic design and marketing, and I worked for many years as a commercial photography printer. I began painting fantasy miniatures after a 25-year hiatus in the fall of 2006.

Since beginning to paint (and play D&D) again, I have had the good fortune of painting with some exceptionally talented individuals at a painting group that meets on the second Saturday of the month at Attactix in Denver.

On a personal note, I am married to a graphic designer, and we have a wonderful son, Liam. We live in Erie, Colorado.
